Mêlée Island is the fictional island on which part of the four graphic adventures of the Monkey Island series is set.
Mêlée is the island on which the aspiring pirate Guybrush Threepwood lands, it looks like a small 17th century Caribbean island inhabited mostly by pirates. The interesting places to visit are the most diverse, the unmissable Scumm Bar, where Guybrush marks the beginning of his adventures, the Fettuccini brothers' circus, the prison, the woods, the paths of the island, very useful for meeting pirates with whom to compete in duels, as well as numerous accommodations and shops in which the protagonist will meet the Voodoo Lady, the avid salesman Stan, the governor of Mêlée Island Elaine Marley, the master by the sword Carla, the unfortunate Otis, a poor innocent imprisoned for having picked a flower and, last but not least, the fearsome ghost pirate LeChuck who will become Guybrush's sworn enemy.
