Cookies and preferences

Browsing preferences

The site preserves the chosen atmosphere in the browser: sunrise, day, sunset, night or automatic mode. The preference remains on the device until the site data is deleted and is not sent to the manager.

The parameter atmosfera in the address maintains the choice while browsing between pages. You can change it from the Atmosphere selector at the top.

Advertising and statistics

The site uses Google AdSense and the Google message to manage advertising consent, as well as an internal aggregate statistics counter described below. The choice of atmosphere remains stored in the browser. Advertising choices and how the counter works are described separately in this policy.

You can reopen the Google message from the “Privacy and cookie preferences” command. If the service is not available, for example because it is blocked by the browser, an information panel is shown. Refusing personalization may allow limited ads and technical processing according to Google configuration; consult the service options and information.

External services

The videos in the collection are reproduced on the site. Links to YouTube and other services open in a new tab only when you select them; these services apply their own policies.

Visit counter

The internal counter only produces aggregate statistics of this site. The mis_counter_day cookie contains the date of the visit, without a personal identifier, and expires at midnight in the Europe/Rome zone. Avoid using the same browser several times a day, even when switching between different languages. A test cookie mis_counter_probe checks the availability of cookies and is deleted immediately. Without functioning cookies, only the pages viewed are counted. “Disembarked pirates” are the sum of daily browser counts: they do not represent unique people over time.

The counter does not record IP addresses, origin, individually visited pages or visitor profiles and does not transmit its statistics to external services. The two cumulative totals remain retained as long as the meter is in use; with each update, daily aggregates older than 12 months are deleted. The actual start of the count is indicated next to the totals: previous visits are not reconstructed. Any technical logs from the hosting provider are distinct from this counter.
