Thirty years of puzzles transformed into objects to hold in your hands. The Monkey Island 30th Anniversary Anthology of Limited Run Games brings together the first five chapters and a small cabinet of wonders: an impossible record, a ticket for Big Whoop and even Murray.

A thirty-year collection

From the first arrival to Tales

The collection celebrates the journey that began in 1990. The Limited Run card lists the five games from The Secret to Tales, with the Special Editions of the first two, on four DVD-ROMs and on a USB stick. Return to Monkey Island, released in 2022, is not part of this box set.

The images below are from an example photographed during unboxing. Each photo can be opened larger; the overall views also allow you to find the small gadgets without confusing them with reproductions created for the site.

Guybrush in resin

The approximately fifteen centimeter tall figurine puts the protagonist on the shelf. The chicken with the pulley immediately recalls one of the most recognizable inventions in his inventory.

Murray is the skull in the foreground, on the right.

Murray, finally a furnishing object

The resin candle holder makes the most ambitious skull in the Caribbean domestic. A choice perfectly in character: even from the shelf it seems ready to conquer the world.

Disk 22 and ticket Big Whoop

Two pranks take physical form: disk number 22 and a park ticket. For those who remember those lines, they are shortcuts to an entire adventure.

Pins, Loom and a pirate certificate

The set includes enamel pins, the “Ask Me About Loom” button and the Certificate of Arrr!thenticity hand signed by Ron Gilbert. Small references to be recognized as jokes between old playmates.

The code wheels behind the Guybrush figurine
Wheels are visible behind Guybrush.

The code wheels

Before many adventures there was a small ritual of paper and puzzles. The wheels are reminiscent of the protection systems of the first games: even the wait before the menu can become an affective memory.

A scene within a frame

The shadowbox transforms a screen into a small composition to display. The game becomes landscape and memory: one of those moments that are recognized even before reading a caption.

Monkey Island Chronicles and the routes on the map

The book behind the scenes is the piece to browse more calmly: texts, images and working materials tell how a world is born that seems to have always existed on the screen. The five reversible mini-posters add covers, maps and promotional art.

Know before looking for it

What does the game library contain?

The manufacturer's sheet describes the first five chapters, four DVD-ROMs and one USB. Languages vary per game: the original classics and Tales are listed in English; the Special Editions include Italian lyrics, while The Curse and Escape are also listed with Italian audio.

Does the photo show a separate item for each gadget?

Some small accessories are photographed together. The relevant cards reuse the complete view and indicate what to observe: no fake close-ups or croppings presented as independent photographs were created.

How to orient yourself between the announcement and the finished example?

The gallery shows a real example, while the manufacturer's sheet contains the commercial description of the project. To evaluate a copy, compare the contents, conditions and photographs of the individual specimen; this page is a visit to the box set, not a quote.
