How Big Whoop Radio began
It started with an idea: accompany the longer pages with Monkey Island music, as though a little station of our own were broadcasting from the Caribbean.
We brought together music from the collection, audio versions of the MIDI tracks and the compositions from Stan’s Jukebox. Vento tra le isole and La rotta delle lanterne added further journeys, woven into the programme with smooth transitions.
The original name was Radio Caraibi. The crew then chose Big Whoop Radio, its own logo and a simple promise: the site stays silent until you switch on the music. Today it accompanies every page, starting at a random point, with Pause, Volume and Off controls.
How to listen
Switch on the radio using the panel on every page. Listen in the page or open the separate player; keeping it open lets the music continue while you browse. This is a continuous music collection, not a live broadcast.
