EN ROUTE TO THE CARIBBEAN · SINCE 1999Some return to Mêlée through an old save game; others rebuild it one brick at a time. Pester78’s tribute to the first two Monkey Island games takes the shape of a double-sided island, packed with characters, objects and little references to discover.
One side features cliffs, stairs leading to the lookout and a small waterfront village. On the other, the multi-level diorama reveals a tavern, the Voodoo Lady’s corner and Stan’s business, with the Giant Monkey Head watching over it all.
Guybrush, Elaine, LeChuck, Stan and the Voodoo Lady make up the miniature crew. A monkey with a banana, a grog machine and a classic point-and-click verb panel reward a closer look. Stan, naturally, already seems ready to sell us something.
